The main source of aid comes from monies that eligible, local businesses gift to us through a Pennsylvania tax credit program called Education Improvement Tax Credit or EITC. In the Diocese of Erie these funds are available through the STAR Foundation. The STAR Foundation is a needs-based scholarship program and to be eligible for the scholarship, your family must meet the income guidelines. OLP has money available for the preschool program as well as K-8.

A second source of aid is also available to OLP parishioners. This aid is also needs based and is drawn from the OLP School Endowment Fund. Every year a draw is taken from this endowment to assist needy OLP parishioners with their OLP tuition. Last year $10,000 was awarded from this fund. Applications are available in the church office in March and are due May 1. Awards are not announced until after STAR Foundation grant money is determined.

The third source of aid is the OLP Tuition Angel Fund.  We have been blessed over the years at OLP by people who value a Catholic education and want to help provide for those less fortunate. The Tuition Angel Fund is an ongoing program where students in need are helped as situations arise.
