2023-2024 DRESS CODE

Girls’ Uniforms:

• Traditional plaid uniform jumper, skirt or skort (clear blue plaid) Can be purchased at Lands’ End or Milagro School Uniforms and Goods
• Navy blue walking shorts
• Navy blue dress slacks
• Navy blue polo shirt long or short sleeved
• Navy blue turtleneck
• Navy blue or white cardigan sweater
• Navy blue OLP uniform sweatshirt (crew neck or quarter zip) or any OLP spirit wear sweatshirt
• Closed-toe leather-type dress shoes or canvas shoe with a heel no higher than 1 inch; white, tan, brown, navy, black or gray (plain, leather style Sperry’s only…no patterns or sequins) or sneakers that MUST be all white, navy or black. (Absolutely no color or print on them and no high top or basketball sneakers) Kindergarten students ONLY are permitted to wear any sneaker
• Solid white or navy blue socks- ankle, crew or knee high (no show socks are not permitted; logos, stripes and patterns of any kind are not permitted)
• White or navy blue tights (no footless leggings)

Boys’ Uniforms:

• Navy blue walking shorts
• Navy blue dress slacks
• Brown, Navy blue, or black belt (optional)
• Light blue polo shirt- long or short sleeved
• Navy blue cardigan sweater
• Navy blue OLP uniform sweatshirt (crew neck or quarter zip) or any OLP spirit wear sweatshirt
• Closed-toe leather-type dress shoes (plain, leather style Sperry’s only…no patterns) or sneaker that MUST be all white, navy or black. (Absolutely no color or print on them and no high top or basketball sneakers) Kindergarten students ONLY are permitted to wear any sneaker

Hair - Boys: Male students are expected to have neatly trimmed hair that does not impair one’s vision or exceed the shirt collar. Hair should be natural in color and styled in a tasteful and appropriate fashion. Extreme hair styles are not permitted.

Hair - Girls: Female students are expected to have neatly styled hair that does not impair one’s vision. Hair should be natural in color and styled in a tasteful and appropriate fashion. Extreme hair styles are not permitted. No novelty hair accessories (cat ear/unicorn headbands; large bows, etc)

Make-up and Nail Polish: (6-8 grade female students only) Girls may wear minimal and tasteful make-up. Those wearing an abundance of make-up or make-up that is very dark will be required to remove it. Female students are also permitted to wear lightly colored nail polish; those wearing dark or very bright colored nail polish will be required to remove it. Natural nails only, no acrylics.

Jewelry - Boys: The following accessories are acceptable: Wrist watch, one ring, and a thin gold or silver chain (remaining inside of shirt). Male students are not permitted to wear earrings of any kind.

Jewelry - Girls: The following accessories are acceptable: Wrist watch, one ring, a thin gold or silver chain (remaining inside of shirt), and stud-style earrings. Girls are permitted to wear small hoop earrings.

All Students: Students are not permitted to wear facial jewelry of any kind including nose, lip or eye brow piercing.

All Students: Shirts must be tucked in at all times unless a banded shirt is worn.

Physical Education:. Students will wear their gym uniform for the entire day on their designated gym day. They will not be permitted to change clothing on gym days.

Dress Down Day:

Girls: All shorts, skirts and dresses must be no shorter than fingertip length. No leggings. Shirts must have sleeves. Messages on clothing should be unprovocative, tasteful, positive, no objectionable and appropriate for a Catholic school. Shoes must enclose the foot entirely. Open back shoes are not permitted. No crocks.

Boys: Shirts must have sleeves. Messages on clothing should be unprovocative. Sandals, flop flops and other shoes that do not enclose are not permitted. No crocks.
